What is the GDPR Privacy Policy?

What data is being collected? (and how did we get it)

We will be collecting:
Details of your business such as Company name, Registration number, accounting period, etc.
Communication details such as address, telephone and mobile numbers and email address. Details such as type of business, size, trade, procedures and costs of certain aspects of the business (bills, goods costs, staff costs etc) all necessary for R&D claim computation.

Collected data will always come directly from you.

What is the legal basis for processing the data?

Processing your data is absolutely necessary to enable Bettertax business to provide you with the service that you have contracted us to perform.

This includes:
Managing your record and providing you with customer service.
Contacting you regarding the service that we are contracted for.
Dealing with any complaints.

Will the data be shared with any third parties?

No. Bettertax never have and never will share your data with any third parties.

How long will the data be stored for?

We will hold your data for as long as we are contracted to perform the service. In the event of termination of the contract we will hold your data up to 5 years, which is the maximum period permitted by law.

What rights does the data subject have?

You have following rights:
The right to be informed.
The right to access your data.
The right to rectify your data.
The right of erasure of your data.
The right to restrict processing of your data.
The right to portability of your data.
The right to object.
The right not to be subject to automated decision-making (profiling).
